Ocean Reef Park
Ocean Reef Park is located on Singer Island in Riviera Beach. This section appears as both a beach outcrop and an offshore reef. The reef starts south of the boardwalk leading to the beach and is exposed at low tide. The beach outcrop begins approximately 200 yards north of the boardwalk. Low cliffs extend for 0.4 miles along the beach. Solution pits, notches, and lithified infillings cover much of the surface. Small burrows are common, and a few larger burrows are also present. Laminated calcium carbonate crusts are present on the surface. Avalanche and herringbone cross-bedding can be seen at low tide. Rock masses that have collapsed from the cliffs can be found in the surf zone.
